I'm proud that you have noticed Urban Hardwoods. Abbie's words describe our business perfectly. Great material that would have been lost. Our tools are simple. The first is patience. Years pass before our precious material is ready. After kiln drying our slabs are flattened and sanded smooth. Festool power planes and a big joiner help us with that. Routers and a smaller joiner help us make a perfect seam. Then we count on Elmers glue. We are woodworkers. The process is simple and age old. Beautiful tables appear because of our respect for nature. Creative hands, creative minds and great material define our furntiture. Our tools don't get in natures way. They simply assist. We work hard and enjoy every minute of the process. Two women and five men make urban hardwoods furniture. We all care.
